FOOT & MOUTH PRECAUTIONS IN PLACE FOR POULTRY BEDDING MANUFACTURERS

Poultry-bedding manufacturers easichick™ has introduced measures at its headquarters to guard against the spread of foot and mouth disease, following the recent outbreak in Surrey.

From today (7/8/07) the company will disinfect every lorry arriving at its Manchester-based site to ensure the risk of spreading the disease is kept to a minimum. They will also require all visitors’ vehicles to be sprayed and lorry drivers and visitors to disinfect their footwear before being allowed on to the site.

easichick™ poultry bedding has been specially designed to ensure bio-security from factory to delivery. It is made from recovered wood which is cleaned and treated and which undergoes a stringent production process, including quality controls and testing.

The bedding offers:
