easichick™ is a manufactured product specifically for the poultry industry. It has been developed with growers to improve the health and wellbeing of the birds, which in turn improves yield.
• Zero counts for moulds, Salmonella sp, Pseudmonas and Aspergillus sp.
• Traceable testing for all bedding produced.
• High service and no seasonal trends.
• Full Bio-Security from factory to delivery.
• Improved thermal properties
• Reduced capping.
• High durability.
• Free moving.
• Reduced labour costs.
When first laying easichick™ in your free-range unit the
floor should be clean and dry, easichick™ is a clean mould-
free bedding enabling the birds to have the best possible start.
The bed needs to be maintained to a depth of 40 mm to 50 mm. This enables the birds to work all the bedding.
Too thick and the bedding will turn sticky; too shallow and the bed will clog and cap readily.
Maintenance
The bedding will require maintaining at the optimum depth.
Around the pop hole, in adverse weather conditions, when capping inevitably takes place, easichick™ will break up freely with a light forking or running through with a Dutch hoe.
Attention should be paid to the area under the light and any walk ways or platforms.
The birds will work the litter up to a depth of 2” (50 mm) and with the free moving nature of easichick™ the birds will easily move it, keeping it aerated and enabling the bedding to stay dry.
Advantages
• Reduced labour cost
• Less waste
• Improved shed environment
